Do you ever wonder about God's plan? There is no judgement here. In fact, I would be surprised if you had never questioned God's ways. A life that is seeking and serving Him will include questions.
There will be moments when we ask, “Why has this or that happened?” That said, we know His plan is big. His plan spans the ages. It began at creation, continues across the centuries, and stretches into eternity.
One of the most important parts of God’s plan is, He invites us to play a part.
As Christians, we are central figures in the story line. Maybe you are unsure of your role. If you are new to this Christianity thing, don't be anxious about it. Rest in learning to trust and growing in God.
If you’ve been on this journey awhile, have you ever been sure you had found your role only to suddenly have it taken away? Sometimes things go a different direction than we planned. This can be disappointing, frustrating, and painful. Perhaps someone got in the way of God's plan for you. Or, it could be the plan you thought was for you ended up not being His plan, after all.
Could it be you are walking into a new season?
Change might be coming your way—something is shifting. God’s plan may be falling into place. Whatever your situation…
“I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].” Philippians 1.6 (AMP)
At the very core, I’m a planner. Organization and list making is in my blood. I recognize the ability to plan is a gift from God. It’s a tool for me to serve Him. I am grateful I’m not dependent on my plans being the end-all. God’s plan trumps mine every time, and yours, too. We can be grateful the pressure is off us.
Whatever your role in His plan, today, or tomorrow—it does not matter your position, status, department, or earning power. What matters is that you fill the role He calls you to. What matters is you go where His story takes you.
“I will show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I am doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you. Plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29.11 (The Message)
Be grateful God’s plan is bigger than you are.
Yes, we get to play a part, but the master plan is far greater than our meager efforts. His plan is that everyone be saved, and that darkness be destroyed once-and-for-all. His plan is that you live your life to bring Him glory, and spend eternity with Him.
The God of the universe laid out His plan before the foundation of the world. He set it all in motion and included us. He has a plan for your life! As you pursue it, be grateful.
